Women Lawyers of Western Australia (WLWA) Honours Dinner

Kim Wilson & Co Family Lawyers were proud to sponsor this year’s Women Lawyers of Western Australia (WLWA) Honours Dinner. The dinner was held on 16 March 2018 at the Crown Towers Ballroom.

The WLWA Honours Dinner is held each year to coincide with International Woman’s Day and is held to present the Women in Law awards and to acknowledge the appointments and retirements of female judicial officers in our Courts in Western Australia.

Ten members of the Kim Wilson & Co team glammed up for the black tie event and enjoyed the fine wine, food and celebration of the outstanding achievements of women in our profession.

Several female Judicial Officers of our Family Courts were honoured, including the former Chief Justice of the Family Court of Australia, The Honourable Diana Bryant.  Her Honour Judge Gail Sutherland was also recognised for her recent appointment as a Judge of the Family Court of Western Australia (formerly a Magistrate of the Court).  Judge Sutherland was one of the founding partners of Kim Wilson & Co.

Kim Wilson & Co were delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to this fantastic event and to celebrate the achievements of women in the legal profession.

WLWA is a not for profit organisation that works to promote the advancement of women in the legal profession and of women in the broader Western Australian community.  In particular working to promote equality in the profession, such as equal representation of women at the bar and in judicial positions and to reduce the gender pay gap.
